Nunavut-Manitoba
Route Selection Study
Nunavut and Manitoba, Canada

A study has been initiated to determine the best route for a road link between Rankin Inlet and Manitoba. The study is jointly funded by the governments of Canada, Nunavut and Manitoba. It is intended that the road initially be a winter road, with an eventual up-grade to an all-weather, all-season road. From Rankin Inlet the route will proceed south to connect with Manitoba’s all-weather road system at either Lynn Lake, Thompson or Gillam. The Port of Churchill will also be connected to the route.
